Healthy Habits and Nutrition: A Conversation with Students

During the interaction, PM Modi met students at Delhi’s Sunder Nursery, discussing the importance of maintaining good health. He emphasized the benefits of millet and the significance of chewing food well to aid digestion.

PM Modi also encouraged students to avoid junk food and adopt better eating habits, urging them to prioritize nourishment for both physical and mental well-being.

The Importance of Sleep and Morning Routines

One key aspect PM Modi touched upon was the importance of a good sleep routine. He advised students to develop the habit of soaking in the morning sunlight after sunrise, away from distractions.

"Soaking in sunlight while going to school does not count," he clarified, emphasizing the need for students to spend some quiet moments outdoors for fresh air and sunlight. This routine, he explained, contributes to a healthier, more focused mind.

Dealing with Pressure: Focus and Clarity

Addressing the pressure students often feel during exams, PM Modi used cricketers as an analogy. Just as a batsman ignores distractions like chants and focuses solely on the ball, students should learn to focus on their studies without being overwhelmed by external pressures. "Don’t let the noise distract you," he advised, stressing the importance of concentrating on the task at hand.

Teamwork and Patience in Leadership

In response to questions about leadership, PM Modi shared that teamwork and patience are essential qualities of a good leader. He emphasized that leadership is not something that can be imposed; rather, it requires understanding, supporting your team, and fostering a sense of unity and cooperation. Patience, according to the PM, is crucial in nurturing and guiding others.

Hobbies and Extracurricular Activities: A Balanced Life

PM Modi also spoke about the need for students to pursue hobbies and extracurricular activities. He urged parents to recognize that children should not be treated like robots.

“Children need the freedom to explore their passions beyond textbooks,” he said, adding that pursuing hobbies allows students to perform better academically as well. He reminded everyone that exams are not the only measure of success in life.

Time Management: A Key to Success

On the topic of time management, PM Modi highlighted the importance of making the most of the 24 hours in a day. He suggested that students plan their day by listing tasks and sticking to a routine.

"Don’t avoid tasks just because they are difficult or less interesting," he advised. By managing time effectively and completing tasks, students can reduce stress and perform better in their studies.

Positive Support: Building Confidence in Students

Lastly, PM Modi shared his perspective on how teachers and parents should approach students. Rather than giving advice that could lead to over-analysis, he encouraged a positive and supportive approach.

“Teachers should take an interest in discovering and nurturing each student's unique talents," he said, adding that students feel more confident and motivated when they are understood and supported by those around them.

The *Pariksha Pe Charcha* 2025 served as a valuable platform for students, parents, and teachers to engage with Prime Minister Modi, gaining insights into managing exam stress, improving overall well-being, and fostering a healthy, balanced approach to education.
