UP Police SI Exam Pattern

The exam for the UP Police SI is held in three stages: an online written exam, document verification, and a physical standards test. The online written test comprises 400 objective-type questions. Under document verification, the candidates will have to provide all the required documents they have uploaded during registration. And the final stage for the selection in UP Police SI is the physical efficiency test, in which the candidate's physical efficiency will be tested by the board with various tasks.

  • In addition to general Hindi, the test will be available in both Hindi and English.
  • Multiple-choice questions, or MCQs, will be present in the UP Police SI online test.
  • The online exam lasts for 120 minutes (two Hours)
  • The online exam for the UP SI will have a total of 400 marks and 160 questions.
  • There will be 2.5 marks for each question.
  • Each of the four parts or subjects of the UP Police SI Online Exam will contain 40 questions and 100 marks.
  • Questions will be asked about general Hindi, the law, the constitution, and general knowledge, as well as numerical skills, mental aptitude, intelligence, and reasoning tests.
  • In the UP Police SI Exam, there is no negative marking.
  • The minimum passing score for each subject will be 35 marks.

UP SI Exam Pattern: Written Exam

The exam will be divided into 4 sections in the UP SI Exam 2023, namely General Hindi, Law/General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude/Intelligence Quotient Test.
  • The exam will be conducted in online mode.
  • There will be four subjects in the examination, i.e., general Hindi, basic law, numerical ability, and reasoning ability.
  • The candidates will get 2.5 marks for the correct answer, while no deduction will be made for the wrong answer.
  • The exam will be of 2 hours (120 minutes) duration. 
  • The minimum qualifying marks for the written test will be 35% of the total marks.
