Some important dates in regard to the exam are stated below :

The candidates belonging to the General Category are required to pay a fee of 1000 rupees ,while those belongig to EWS and OBC -NCL category need to pay 500 . While candidates belonging to other categories are to pay 250 rupees .The last date for payment of online application fee is 3rd March (11.50).The exams which were supposed to be held in December 2020 cycle but got postponed due to covid are now going to to be held in MAY 2021.
The examination will be of three hours and will comprise of two papers .Paper 1 and Paper 2 will have 100 and 200 marks respectively . All questions will be compulsory and there will be no breaks between the papers . Each question will carry two marks but will not be any negative marks for incorrect answers.
Eligibility criteria for UGC NET 2021
*The candidate must have a post graduate degree with at least 55 percent marks (UR) from recognized universities/ institutions.For reserved category the minimum marks is 50 percent .
*General category candidate should not be more than 31 years of age as of March 01 . There is no upper age limit for the post of Assistant Professor.
