The SSC CHSL Salary increased significantly following the adoption of the 7th Pay Commission. Both the grade pay and the pay band for government employees have been revised by the government. For your reference, we have listed below the SSC CHSL Salary Post-Wise data according to the 7th Pay Commission.
After the 7th pay commission, there has been a hike of 22-24% in the salary of SSC CHSL employees. There are various posts through SSC CHSL. SSC CHSL salary is based on the post of the candidates. The posts are as follows:

  • Postal Assistant (PA)/ Sorting Assistant (SA)

SSC CHSL Allowances and Perks

Besides handsome salary, there are various perks and allowances associated with SSC CHSL posts which are as follows:
  1. House Rent Allowance: The 7th Pay Commission has finalized the rate of HRA that varies on the classification of cities proposed by the government. The detailed calefaction of HRA is mentioned below.

  2. Travelling Allowance: The selected candidates for group X cities will be provided with Rs 3600 transport allowances while the other two will be given an Rs 1800 travelling allowance for compensating their travelling to cities.

  3. Medical Allowance: The reimbursement of all medical expenses of the treatment to the government employee or their family will be done by the government.

  4. Special Security Allowance: In case the candidate is working for some special organization, such as CBI, IB, or any Security agency he will be provided with an extra 20% of Basic Pay as Special Security Allowance (SSA) in their gross pay.

  5. Pension: This is the most attractive benefit of any government job because even after your retirement in your old age you will be provided with a handsome amount every month for your expenses and a part of this will be deducted from your salary every month.
