DSSSB Tier-I Exam Pattern
For various posts the detailed exam pattern for tier 1 is as follows:
- Negative marking is in effect, with 0.25 points lost for each incorrect MCQ answer.
- The DSSSB Board reserves the right to set a minimum cut-off mark for any position based on candidate availability.
- Selection is made purely on the basis of marks received in Tier-II exams, not on the basis of Tier I exams, as Tier, I is merely a qualifying test in two-tier exams.
- A candidate must pass a skill or endurance test as the final stage of the recruitment process before being selected. This test is only applicable to certain jobs.
- The questions in the DSSSB exam are bilingual, meaning they are exclusively presented in Hindi and English. The only exemption is language papers, which must be written in the target language.

DSSSB Tier-II Exam Pattern
- The tier-II exam has
a 200 marks Multiple Choice Question-based test. - There is an additional descriptive test of 75 marks is asked in the Tier-II Exam of DSSSB.
- A descriptive essay writing of 50 marks and a descriptive letter writing of 25 marks is asked in the descriptive text of the DSSSB online Exam.
