The UPSC CSE Mains 2024 results have been released in both name-wise and roll number-wise formats, allowing candidates to easily verify their performance.
As part of the next steps, candidates who have been shortlisted for the interview will be required to fill out and submit the Detailed Application Form 2 (DAF-2). The submission window for this form will be open from December 13 to December 19, 2024, with a deadline of 6 pm. Shortlisted candidates must complete this form within the given timeframe, as failure to do so will lead to the cancellation of their candidature. The commission has also stated that no further correspondence will be entertained for candidates who fail to meet this requirement.
This year’s UPSC CSE recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,056 vacancies across various services, including positions in the IAS, IFS, IPS, and other central services. Among the total vacancies, 40 are reserved for candidates from the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category, ensuring greater inclusivity and representation in civil services.
The UPSC CSE interview also referred to as the personality test, will carry a total of 275 marks. This phase of the selection process assesses candidates on various attributes, including their communication skills, presence of mind, leadership potential, and overall personality. The interview is a critical component of the selection procedure, and candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly to enhance their chances of securing a top position.
