A month after increasing the number of attempts for the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) from two to three this year, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) has decided to restore the earlier eligibility criterion used in previous years about a number of attempts in JEE Advanced.
JEE Advanced 2025: Eligibility criteria
The candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 2000. A relaxation of five years has been provided to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates. Thus, these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995.
Candidates whose admission to IITs was canceled (for whatever reason) after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025.
