1 December – World Aids Day

Every year on December 1, World AIDS Day is commemorated to increase awareness of the HIV infection-related disease known as AIDS. The World Health Organization runs a significant and well-liked campaign called World AIDS Day. The world's largest conference on HIV and AIDS will be held in person and virtually for the first time in Montreal, Canada, to ensure that as many people as possible can attend. World AIDS Day 2022 had the slogan "Reflection, Celebration, Rejuvenation" as its theme.

2 December – World Computer Literacy Day

Every year on December 2, there is a celebration of world computer literacy. The purpose of this day is to promote digital literacy in marginalised communities while raising awareness. It encourages young professionals, children, and women to develop technical literacy. World Computer Literacy Day in 2021 was commemorated with the theme Narrowing the Digital Divide: Human-Centered Literacy for Human-Centered Recovery.

2 December – International Day of Abolition of Slavery

Every year on December 2, people all across the world mark the International Day to Abolish Slavery. The legal prohibition of slavery, notably the institutional servitude of Black people in the United States, constituted the abolition of slavery. With the subject "Ending Slavery's Legacy of Racism: A Global Imperative for Justice," this day was observed in 2021.

3 December – International Day of People with disabilities

The third of December is recognised as International Day of People with Disabilities throughout the world. This day is observed to strengthen disadvantaged people and inspire them to pursue their goals in life. Worldwide, a lot of campaigns have been started to support people with disabilities. With the theme "Leadership and involvement of persons with disabilities toward an inclusive, accessible, and sustainable post-COVID-19 future," this day was commemorated in 2021.

3 December – World Conservation Day

World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on July 28 globally. This day is celebrated and aims to create awareness about the need to preserve the environment and natural resources to keep the world healthy. The theme for World Conservation Day 2021 was “Forests and Livelihoods: Sustaining People and Planet“.

4 December – Navy Day

India celebrates Navy Day on December 4. Recognizing the accomplishments and contribution of the Indian Navy to the nation is a cause for celebration. On 4 December 1971, the Indian Navy sunk four Pakistani ships, including PNS Khaibar, as part of Operation Trident, killing hundreds of Pakistani Navy soldiers. The Indian Navy - Combat Ready, Credible and Cohesive was the focus of Navy Day 2021.

5 December – International Volunteer Day for Economic and Social Development

The global celebration of International Volunteer Day for economic and social development takes place on December 5. Every year on December 5th, the United Nations Volunteers Programme (UNV) organises International Volunteer Day to honour and promote the selfless efforts of volunteers everywhere. The topic for this day in 2021 was "Volunteer today for our common future."

7 December – Armed Forces Flag Day

Annually, on December 7th, is commemorated as Armed Forces Flag Day. Since 1949, the country has celebrated December 7 as Armed Forces Flag Day to remember the martyrs and the men and women in military who bravely defended our boundaries and upheld the honour of their nation. There is no nobler purpose than giving one's life to defend the nation. The goal of the 2021 Armed Forces Flag Day was to improve civic cohesion while paying homage to the brave and martyred warriors.

7 December – International Civil Aviation Day

On December 7th, people all across the world celebrate International Civil Aviation Day. It is common knowledge that aviation is crucial to the global economy and societal progress. Advancing Innovation for Global Aviation Development served as the topic of International Civil Aviation Day in 2021.

9 December – International day against corruption

On December 9th, organisations around the world hold International Day Against Corruption. It was designed to completely eradicate corruption, and numerous actions and initiatives were started in that direction. The topic for this year's celebration of this day was "Your right, your role: say no to corruption."

10 December – Human Rights Day

Human Rights Day is held annually on December 10. It sought to educate individuals about their rights and how to avoid abusing them. Human Rights Day in 2021 had as its topic EQUALITY - Reducing Inequalities, Promoting Human Rights.

11 December – International Mountain Day

International Mountain Day is celebrated annually on December 11. It is designed to raise awareness of the value of mountains for human life, to highlight the advantages and challenges of mountain development, and to forge partnerships that will benefit mountain communities and habitats all over the world. The topic for its celebration in 2021 is sustainable mountain tourism.

14 December – International Energy Day

Everywhere in the world, on December 14, is International Energy Day. It is observed to draw attention to the value of energy use in daily life, its scarcity, and its effect on the viability of global ecosystems. Energy efficiency and renewable energy were the topics for this year's celebration.

18 December – International Migrants Day

The world celebrates International Migrants Day on December 18. It was established to defend human rights. In 2021, "HARNESSING THE POTENTIAL OF HUMAN MOBILITY" was the theme chosen for this day.

19 December – Goa’s Liberation Day

The 19th of December each year is designated as Goa's Liberation Day. The liberation of Goa from Portuguese domination by the Indian Armed Forces and the ultimate independence of the Indian subcontinent are commemorated on December 19. It is one of the most important days in the history of Goa and is also regarded as a forgotten fight of freedom.

23 December – Kisan Diwas (Farmer’s Day)

To commemorate the birth anniversary of former prime minister and farmer leader Chaudhary Charan Singh, Kisan Diwas, or National Farmers' Day, is observed. The purpose of the holiday is to show our appreciation for the farmers who are the foundation of the nation's economy.

25 December – Christmas Day

Every year on December 25, people commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ during Christmas. The majority of Christians celebrate it. Jesus' conception was dated by the Roman Christian historian Sextus Julius Africanus to March 25, which, nine months later, is December 25. It is observed by the Christian community on a global scale.

29 December – International Bio-diversity day

The ninth day of December each year is designated as International Biodiversity Day. The UN General Assembly designated May 22 as International Day of Biological Diversity (IDB) in December 2000 to mark the adoption of the Convention's text by the Nairobi Final Act of the Conference for the Adoption of the Agreed Text of the Convention on Biological Diversity on May 22, 1992. With the theme "We're part of the solution for nature," it was observed in 2021.
