Marking Policy For The CBSE Class 10th Board Exam in 2021:
For pupils in Class 10, grades would be based on two factors: the student's achievement in previous tests and classes, and the student's overall academic performance. In addition, the school's past board exam results. In allocating marks for Class 10, the board attempted to be both generous and cautious.
Schools would give marks to committees with principals and teachers on board, according to a circular for Class 10 released on May 1, exactly a month before the exams for Class 12 were cancelled.
Internal assessment marks were allowed to be issued in the same way they had been previously. The rest of the time, it was determined to give periodic tests, half-yearly exams, and pre-board exams more weight.
Schools were asked to examine their performance over the previous three years and select the year in which they performed best. As a starting point, this year will be used.
For example, if a school's students received an average of 78 percent in the reference year, their performance would be used to evaluate them.
Various schools have been given flexibility by the CBSE to deal with specific issues. However, schools have been urged to keep records, and the CBSE will check to see if they followed the procedures.
Another popular approach is to assign grades based on the student's previous performance in other classes, such as ninth grade and up.
“Both examinations have different scopes. While Class 10 examinations generally allow students to choose their majors, Class 12 examinations are used to determine whether or not they will be admitted to higher education institutions. It must be assured that no student is discriminated against and that the approach is objective. “All of these elements would be examined by a panel, and the process would take some time,” the official said.
